Welcome to Christ the King

Christ the King is your English-speaking Anglican/Episcopal church in Frankfurt, Germany. We are an international congregation of Christians from all over the world and from many different denominations – and all walks of life!

As part of the Episcopal Church in the United States, we enjoy a relationship of full communion - including exchange of pastors - with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  We also enjoy full communion with the Church of England, the Church of Sweden, the Old Catholic Churches of the Union of Utrecht and the Philippine Independent Church.

It is both traditional and relaxed, enriched with music from the congregation and the choir. Read more about our services in the
Worship section.

Dear Friends and Members of the Christ the King Community,

Due to the ongoing pandemic and in accordance with both the recommendations of the various Health organizations and the regulations from the German government put into effect on Monday, the 16th of March, all events and services at CtK have been suspended until at least Easter.

Your Parish Vestry is meeting virtually in order to devise ways that we can remain a supportive and caring Community and are exploring ways that we might be able to stream some services, including Morning Prayer and others.

I would ask you to think of those in our community that are living in your area who may need assistance in things like shopping or for those that do not have access to the Internet that they also be informed about the suspension of services.

One of the things that makes our community so wonderful is that we look out for each other. I would ask that we continue to be the loving and caring community that we are, even if we are not in face-to-face contact.

As soon as we are allowed to resume services and it is safe to do so, rest assured that we will.

New to Christ the King?

We love visitors! Following every Sunday service, the congregation meets for coffee downstairs in the Undercroft and we invite all to attend. Please go to the “Welcome Table” to talk with a member of the Newcomers Committee. We can answer queries, introduce you to members of our church family, as well as inform you about English-speaking services in the area (e.g. shops, doctors, etc).

Whether you are here on your own or with your family, if you are looking for a friendly, English-speaking church that will guarantee you a warm welcome, then please seek us out!
