A Valentine’s Day dedicated to more than just romance
At the Anglican/Episcopal Church of Christ the King in Frankfurt, we believe that love is much bigger than the feelings we have for our partners, families and friends. In the spirit of “love thy neighbor”, we’ve decided to redefine this year’s Valentine’s Day by drawing attention to and raising money for our Refugee Program.
This is taking place in collaboration with a café in Offenbach, aptly named Caffé Cuore (“cuore” means “heart” in Italian). This is how it works:
WHERE: Caffé Cuore, Frankfurter Str. 60, 63067 Offenbach a.M.
WHEN: Saturday, 14 February 2026, from 10 am to 10 pm
WHAT: Charity event to benefit refugees, featuring Latin American music from about 8 pm
WHO: Everyone who wants to support a good cause is welcome! Whether you’re single or in a relationship, hetero or queer, the focus at Caffé Cuore this Valentine’s Day is on love that knows no borders.
HOW: You pay €1 more than the listed price for every drink, snack or product that you buy at Caffé Cuore on this day. This extra income will be donated to the Refugee Program of Christ the King. Please note: Caffé Cuore is both a café and a store, specialized in Italian goods such as coffee, wine, oil, biscotti, etc. They offer a limited selection of drinks, snacks and refreshments, such as appetizer plates, but not full meals.
GOOD TO KNOW: Representatives of the Refugee Program will be at Caffé Cuore and available to answer any questions throughout the event.
